Happy National Weatherperson's Day!!
Today is National Weatherperson's day. It was started to honor John Jeffries. Jeffries was born on February 5, 1744, and was one of America's first weather observers. He took the first weather balloon observations in 1784. National Weatherperson's day is a day to recognize all men and women who work hard to keep us safe and informed about the weather each day. Thank you to all of my weather geeks out there! Proud to be a part of the team!
