Weekend Forecast for Starkville, MS

It has been a wet Saturday here in Starkville, MS and it is not over yet. We will continue to see showers into the night, but by Sunday morning the showers will have cleared out with only a few clouds and windy conditions left in its tracks. Tonight, we will drop to around 47 degrees, but only reach a high of 50 degrees tomorrow! This is because the winds will begin to shift from ENE to NNW. By Sunday night, we will have mostly clear skies, as a high pressure system moves over our area. Sunday night we will reach a low of around 30 degrees. Enjoy the weekend and stay safe!

Happy National Weatherperson's Day!!

Today is National Weatherperson's day. It was started to honor John Jeffries.  Jeffries was born on February 5, 1744, and was one of America's first weather observers.  He took the first weather balloon observations in 1784. National Weatherperson's day is a day to recognize all men and women who work hard to keep us safe and informed about the weather each day. Thank you to all of my weather geeks out there! Proud to be a part of the team!
